Cosmetic Dentistry:

Did you know that, the better you look, the more confident you feel, which can actually land you a better paying paying job?
It's no secret that, when your smile is radiant, when your teeth are straight and white, when your facial appearance is attractive, you can create a welcoming first impression. The "million-dollar smile" can be taken literally--in that it can translate to a better paying career.

Recent research shows a connection between how much is in your paycheck and your appearance. A study released by the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis found that more attractive people earned five percent more an hour than their less good-looking counterparts!

It may not be fair, but it’s a fact.

Just about everybody would agree that a dazzling smile is an important social asset, according to the results of a survey conducted by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry. By the same token, 74 percent of those surveyed said an unattractive smile can hurt a person's chances for career success.

If you're self-conscious about your smile, your job performance may suffer. Yet if your smile is bright and genuine, chances are you exude confidence and good cheer, which makes you easily approachable and a pleasant person to work with.

Dental Implants:
The Secret To Smiling With Confidence

How does the saying go, “Smile and the world smiles with you?” Well, if you suffer from tooth loss, smiling can be an unpleasant experience. Do you hide your teeth from others, hoping they won’t notice the gaps from your missing teeth? Are social situations embarrassing for you, because you wonder if someone is staring at your mouth?

Tooth loss can be an embarrassment and it’s unfortunate when people do not know how simple it can be to fix.

Take a look in the mirror and imagine a full, glistening smile. I’ll bet it would make you look and feel at least 10 years younger. With the latest dental implant technologies, you don’t have to imagine anymore. A dental implant is simply a metal screw that is used to hold a false tooth in place. The success rate for dental implant procedures is very high, above 90% in most cases.

Aside from improving your self image, dental implants facilitate chewing, provide support for bridge work, and reduce movement and friction among false and natural teeth.

Veneers/Laminates:

Veneers recreate your smile by concealing damage or defects on the fronts and sides of your teeth. Veneers can correct the appearance of stains, chips, breaks and cracks, oddly shaped or permanently discolored teeth and unsightly fillings.

Even a subtle smile enhancement can make an exceptional difference

Crowns / Bridges:

Both crowns and most bridges are what are termed fixed prosthetic devices. Unlike devices such as dentures, that can be removed and need to be cleaned daily, crowns and bridges are cemented onto existing teeth or implants, and can only be removed by a dentist.

A crown is used to entirely cover or "cap" a damaged tooth. Besides strengthening a damaged tooth, a crown can be used to improve its appearance, shape or alignment. A crown can also be placed on top of an implant to provide a tooth-like shape and structure for function.

Porcelain or ceramic crowns can be matched to the color of your natural teeth. Other materials include gold and metal alloys, acrylic and ceramic.

These alloys are generally stronger than porcelain and may be recommended for back teeth. Porcelain bonded to a metal shell is often used because it is both strong and attractive.

Dentures:

Anyone with regular dentures knows that eating a steak or biting into an apple is always risky because the dentures in the jaw may slip and slide as they lose their attachment to the gums.

A great solution to this is to have the denture attached the jaw with implants.

Implant-supported dentures lock the denture in place, providing the peace of mind that comes in knowing dentures will not slip when eating or speaking in public.
